2017 전라북도 국제교류페스티벌의 해외연주팀 재즈키아를 소개합니다!

재즈키아는 트럼펫 연주자 사스키아 라루의 세 번째 CD 타이틀이자 어쿠스틱 재즈와 크로스오버 음악 팬들을 위해 1995년 그가 만든 4인조 그룹의 이름입니다.

재즈키아는 다국적의 재즈 및 크로스오버 음악가들로 구성되어 있고, 여기에 랩 보컬이 보강되었다고 해요!

이들은 “재즈, 힙합을 만나다(Jazz Meets Hip-Hop)”라는 프로그램을 통해 사스키아의 앨범에 수록된 원곡을 유기적이고도 즉흥적으로 연주해냅니다.

퍼토리는 찰리 파커, 존 콜트레인, 디지 길레스피, 셀로니어스 멍크 등과 같은 재즈 거장들의 느낌을 불러일으키기도 하는 사스키아의 자작곡들이 주를 이루고 있어요!

Jazzkia is both the name of trumpet player Saskia Laroo’s third CD and the name of the quartet she made in 1995 for fans of acoustic jazz and crossover music.

Jazzkia is composed of diverse jazz and crossover musicians and even includes rap vocals.

The repertoire primarily consists of her original compositions which invoke jazz giants such as Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, and their likes.
