Introduction

The Jeonju Hanji Museum produces hanji, Korean traditional paper, using methods that have existed since ancient times. Hanji is a unique craft since each sheet has its own distinct pattern. More than 80% of the museum’s production is exported to Japan while the rest is sold in the domestic market. Visitors can come here and learn firsthand about hanji production, including paper stitching, patterning, and dyeing.
