Birthplace of the ‘King of Pansori’, creator of the dongpyeonje style of pansoriHeung-rok Song is the creator of the dongpyeonje style of pansori. This style is one of the 2 major ones alongside songpyeonje and it relies heavily on having a wide spectrum of volume. Heung-rok Song is praised for his contribution to pansori, the front of his house is even decorated with a commemorative statue of him and his drummer.
